Welcome to Virtual 20th IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology.

Considering the present circumstances related to COVID-19, the Conference Committee of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council and the Montreal organizers of the 20th IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology 2020 (IEEE NANO 2020) decided jointly that IEEE NANO 2020 must convert to an all-virtual format from July 29th to 31st of 2020.

  • Existing contributors to IEEE NANO 2020 as planned for Montreal with accepted abstracts can present their work online in the virtual IEEE NANO 2020 and have their papers published in the proceedings in IEEE Xplore as previously planned. This continues to be the conference website for IEEE NANO 2020, now completely online. All accepted abstracts this year intended to be published in IEEE Xplore require a full paper submission (4-6 pages) by June 5th for peer review.
  • The physical conference in Montreal is now moved to 2021 and becomes the 21st IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE NANO 2021) to be held July 28-30, 2021. Abstracts previously submitted to IEEE NANO 2020 (Montreal) and not presented at the virtual NANO 2020 will be transferred to the NANO 2021 for which an additional call for papers will be open Nov 15th, 2020 – Jan 31st, 2021. Look for further information on their website at 2021.ieeenano.org, which will go live according to tradition at the conclusion of NANO 2020.

Of course, current IEEE NANO 2020 contributors are encouraged to both present their current papers to the virtual IEEE NANO 2020 and submit further work to IEEE NANO 2021.

THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR FINAL PAPERS TO IEEE NANO 2020 HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 5th.

THIS IS ALSO A CALL FOR “LATE BREAKING NEWS” PAPERS.

IEEE-NANO is the flagship IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology, which has been a successful annual conference since 2001. Recent conferences were held in Macau (2019), Cork (2018), Pittsburgh (2017), Sendai (2016), Rome (2015), and Toronto (2014).

The conference scope spans both nanoscience and nanotechnology, including:

  • Developing new nanomaterials or manipulating matter at nanometre length scale
  • Studying the fundamental physical, chemical or biological properties of these nanomaterials and nanostructures
  • Manipulating and optimizing nanomaterials and nanostructures to create new nanosensors, nanoactuators and nanoelectronic/nanophotonic devices.

We welcome contributions from both academic and industry-based researchers.

See technical areas for a complete list of topics covered by IEEE-NANO 2020.

IEEE NANO 2020 WILL INCLUDE A SPECIAL PROGRAM OF EVENTS

CELEBRATING THE 20TH ANNIVERSARIES OF THE IEEE NANOTECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE SERIES

AND OF THE IEEE NANOTECHNOLOGY COUNCIL
